Whenever an injury occurs in a workplace setting, workers’ compensation often applies. Workers’ compensation
offers definite, but inadequate, benefits based on a “schedule.’ The schedule generally does not take into
account individual differences, pain and suffering, permanency, and full value for lost wages.
