Workers Compensation

Whenever an injury occurs in a workplace setting, workers’ compensation often applies. Workers’ compensation
offers definite, but inadequate, benefits based on a “schedule.’ The schedule generally does not take into
account individual differences, pain and suffering, permanency, and full value for lost wages.

Often when an injury occurs in an employment setting, compensation may be available from other parties.
Compensation of this nature is not limited to the workers’ compensation schedule. For example, if the injury was
due to the failure of a defective part, the manufacturer of the part may be liable in damages for the full value
of the injury.

All on-the-job injuries should be investigated fully to determine if additional sources of compensation are
possible. Spohrer Wilner Maxwell & Matthews P.A. will investigate all on-th-job injuries without charge.
